KEITH CARTER holds the endowed Walles Chair of Visual and Performing Arts at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and is the recipient of a 2009 Texas Medal of Arts Award and the Lange-Taylor Prize from the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. I love this book! I purchased it as a gift for my son, a photographer. The photos are so artfully and sensitively composed and printed. My son also photographs children from time to time, and I thought he would enjoy Keith Carter's images. Also, the quality of the book is really good. It's a nice, tabletop size hardcover book - perfect for giving as a gift.

As one not known for a fondness of children, I was pleasantly surprised by this book which I bought only to keep my collection of Keith Carter's works complete and intact. Nearly all of these images grab your interest, and some are very special indeed. Some of the pictures would be interesting even if the children were humanely expunged, as Carter's chosen settings, props and creative techniques result in a rather surreal ambiance which would make nearly any subject intriguing. This is an outstanding monograph. Bravo!!!

Not gonna lie, I found the title hilarious. Since this has been the topic of the anime community since it's anime movie adaptation was announced, I was curious to see what it was about. So after watching the trailer, I was intrigued. I was surprised to see the light novel on sale and decided to buy the paperback after reading the sample on the Kindle app.Those who read the "Your Lie in April" manga or watched it's anime adaptation, will find the premise familiar. However, this light novel stands apart from the former. The novel is about a girl named Sakura Yamauchi, a 17 year old high schooler diagnosed with a terminal pancreatic disease. She's kept this secret from everyone outside the family, that is until one day a boy from her class inadvertently discovers her secret.The novel it's written from this classmates perspective, and he promises not disclose this secret at school. Without giving too much details of the story, the main protagonist is an introvert and keeps to himself. Yet Sakura spends time with him after learning her secret, and the story goes on to build a relationship between our protagonists.I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and as I read on, I've gotten attached to them and their struggles. There are a few typos on this translation were I had to re-read to understand. But overall it was a beautiful, heart wrenching and tear jerking story.

The theme has been done before but this was masterful with the final plot twist. I’ll be reading this again!

This book has more impact in 260ish pages than most book triple its length. I wish it was longer, I wish I could get more time with these characters.

Just a good book period. Kept me reading from start to finish in a day. Read it. You won't regret it..probably.

Hard to get into at first but gave it a chance, you have to accept the main character's personality (which adds to the story).Did not regret staying up late because of it.

Im currently still reading the book and im more than half way through, so i thought i would leave a review for those who are about to press the "buy now" button.DON'T HESITATE! This book starts out a little slow, but that is NOT A bad thing. You get alot more into the main characters growing relationship between each other and juicy back story. There were some really strong emotional parts in the story thus far and i plan to finish this book on a rainy day for added feels.

Dinosaur Babies is a level 2 reader that it is more advanced than others in this category from the same publishing house. That is perfectly normal and expected as even I have trouble reading Deinonychus. For a kid who loves dinosaurs, it would not be a problem to see a picture of a triceratops and say the word without reading it. But you can still go over the word and "chunk it" or "sound it out".The illustrations in this reader look like what you would find in a textbook. This is appropriate for a non-fiction reader but younger kids may not want to reach for the book as often. On the other hand, the book first sparked a conversation when my son noted that the T. rex depicted did not look like most other T. rex pictures he has seen, nor does it look like his plastic dinosaurs. I vaguely remembered that some dinosaurs were believed to have feathers. We researched and now we know that T. rex is believed to have been covered in feathers, particularly the baby T. rex. This is a great way to start understanding that science changes over time as new evidence is discovered and what we know is updated accordingly. I am very pleased that these books are up to date with current scientific understanding.As a separate activity after reading we built a habitat for a herbivore with nest using a plastic dinosaur and playdough in a shoe box (there’s an idea for a rainy/sick day).

My toddler loves learning about all the dinosaur babies in this easy reader. Short simple descriptions allows him to memorize key facts and repeat them with me.

Good ans engaging for my 5 year old. Not too tough qnd words are big for easy sounding out.

Children will love the pictures and the simple explanation of how baby dinosaurs are hatched. Book also explores the different types of dinosaurs, diets and general daily life. Especially appreciate how loving and protective the dinosaur parents are toward their young.
