For me, Ms. Small's body of work it often hit or miss. Of all her books, I enjoy the continuing legacy of Jasmine the most, even more than earlier portions of her Skye O'Malley saga. In Wild Jasmine, we meet Jasmine (or Yasamin) the beautiful daughter Velvet was forced to leave behind with her father, the grand Mughal of India. You watch the heartache of her finding her first love and losing him in a senseless brutal act of violence, and her forced departure from India into the arms of her indomitable grandmother, Madam Skye. Jasmine is just as impetuous, headstrong and proud as any of the females of the family, and it is often a wild and rollicking ride as she falls in love and finds happiness only to have it ripped away again and again. Darling Jasmine picks up where Wild Jasmine ended, with the grieving beauty fleeing to France to escape an ordered marriage with James Leslie by order of the king. This book is one of my favorites because it does give more depth to the relationship with her dear Jemmie, and to Jasmine herself. As proud as she is, Jasmine has insecurities. She both wants and needs love desperately, yet fears that emotion at the same time. It takes a strong man to break through to her heart, and Jemmie is that man. Like other books, there is a great deal of court intrigue. There are moments you will want to shake the characters, and moments that warm your heart. The love between Jemmie and Jasmine is strong and beautiful enough to inspire dreams. If you haven't read any other books of this series, I do recommend you read at least Wild Jasmine before picking up this book.

It's part of a series of silly romance novels with fun historical narratives. The main women are all fabulously wealthy, gorgeous geniuses with attitude and the men are all rugged, and unusually feminist for the 1500-1600s. Every sex scene results in orgasms so powerful the characters faint. It's not meant to be great literature. It's fun for what it is. I adore the series. :)

I love the second book about Jasmine and her love hate relationship with The love of her life. From France to England and finally to Scotland she travels with obsticals in her way.

Once you know Skye O'Malley you are hooked. Her children and their adventures never fail with intrigue and romance! Always a great story!!

There is nothing I can say that hasn't already be said the characters are amazing the writing so full of detail this is just a wonderful series and an amazing author who will never be forgotten

Another great read by one of my favorite authors. I love the historic adventures and continued storyline of Skye' s family tree.

Happen to enjoy a little "racy" romance once in a while. This book had a good story to it along with the romance. Would recommend it!

I really enjoyed this book. Looking forward to reading Bedazzled next. Small has been one of my favourite writers for years. Thank you once again.

I understand that Ms. Cooney cut up whatwould be a really awesome novel, into several shorter novels in order to maximize profit. The story would have been much better as a whole. I probably won't purchase any more of Ms. Cooney books when I finish this series. I don't think this writing device is very honest, and I won't reward it by purchasing more of her books.

I'm a senior citizen, but I loved the Janey series by Caroline B. Cooney. Our library had all but this book, so I donated it, to finish their series.

Based on a true story. Also sequels

This is one book in a series of books. I did not finish it, but will go back and read it again. I do not like too much repetition, I get bored and need to go to something else then come back to these series books.

My daughter loves these books. She is 12!

I bought the first one - "The Face on the Milkcarton" - because it was such an interesting and unique story line. I continue to enjoy the books; Cooney's characters are not one dimensional. Good series, easy reads.

Love this series. A great read.

Love that they continued this story.
