Once again Mr Hosker has started a new thrilling series with fiction mingled with historical fact and produced a highly enjoyable read. Another book that was hard to put down yet when finished leaves the reader hungry for more. What makes his books so darn enjoyable is the simplicity of the story. It isn't heavy reading but stimulating enjoyable reading. As I grow older It is what captures my attention leaving me hungry for more!!!!

Another well-executed novel of the Middle Ages. Once again the author puts you right there in the battles. I'm always grateful to be born in the 21st century versus the 14th century were you had famine plague pestilence and then major battles and if you are poor person you just lost out however if you had redeeming qualities that put you in the Forefront, this book gives you hope for a better tomorrow even though it is fiction.

It is his style, ease with the time’s and his ability to create characters that jump from the page, spellbinding the reader. I anxiously await Book 3, now that he’s been knighted, Sir William will start the next part of his journey.

Another excellent read!! Mr. Hosker haa become a favorite of those you value history told in a believable coherent manner.

Excellent reading . My favorite author.

My Dad a former police officer suffers from Alzheimers...he is in denial at times..probably helps him cope, not sure. He is bored and no longer can read the things he once could. He is turned off by childrens books and will not even attempt to read them. When i saw your book i was excited because it has a beautiful cover and i loved the photos. I however agree with another review, if he sees the memory impaired part he will reject it and possibly feel stress.I see no need for it to be on the cover. i used several Sharpies to try and cover it up and the book now looks well ugly. I hope you will consider in the future to be more discreet simply because it matters to those that still kinda understand. Reading and relaxing are interupted when you are reminded about your illness. The photos and the meat of the book are great!! Thanks for kindness!

If the person you are purchasing this for can still read and comprehend to any level do not buy it as the title is insulting. My mother does not want to be known as a "memory-challenged adult. and certainly does not want to be seen reading a book that indicates that she is memory challenged. The pictures are lovely, but title should change as it is unnecessary to label it in this way. I covered part of the title with electrical tape and ripped out the title page and she is enjoying it more now.

First off, I'm in the camp that says it's okay to say memory challenged. Years ago when it started happening my mom reached out to me and I listened to her. I had a feeling what was going on, and what that must feel like, how scary that must be. My mom knows she's memory challenged. She has known for over a decade and it's okay to say it.This book has beautiful photos. My mom loves going through, photo by photo. Sometimes she reads it on her own and sometimes I read along with her, commenting as we go. Mom is in the final stages and this book gives her joy. She also loves the robot/therapy cat if you are looking to bundle this with another gift.

This I know from working for ten years as the Resident Storyteller at St. Joseph's School for the Deaf, Bronx, NY. While my very young students loved illustrated pictures books, they always gravitated to books with photographs of people, animals, familiar objects and landscapes. They would LOVE this picture book, I KNOW!Eliezer Sobel was inspired to write this book for his beloved mother, Manya Sobel who has lived with Alzheimer's disease for nearly ten years. I have to return it. The "memory-challenged" on the cover is the reason. My recipient is memory challenged, but can read. She is sensitive and I don't want to insult her or hurt her feelings.

A bit too simple for my mom. My mom can still read; this book is like a children's book. My mom is very sensitive about that and thinks that it's demeaning. So, I donated this one to the Memory Unit at the Assisted Living for people who are at this level. But since my mom can read at a bit of a higher level, but struggled with real books, I got her Emma Rose Sparrow's books and those were a much better fit. By the way, the photos in this book are nice. Words are HUGE. Just too 'simple' for my mom.

A collection of photographs to initiate conversation. Purchased for my mother. More appropriate for nursing home staff who do not know patient's history. Seemed a lovely concept, but I could make similar with my own photos or copies of family photos, or just use magazines. She does frown when she reads the title "for memory challenged adults." But she doesn't mention it.

This is a book that had been missing from the universe. Eliezer Sobel has a heart of gold and a talent that deserves kudos and recognition. What was meant for his mother is truly a book that bridges a gap that only Eliezer himself even observed. It is not that this gap was not there, it is that only Eliezer himself was willing to see it and cross it, in such a lovely manner.

I purchased these for my 3 year old nephew who absolutely loves them. However, my sister doesn't due to the bug having individual legs on the stickers vs one big sticker than encompasses the entire bug. She said it takes a few minutes to get each sticker out without ripping the legs off. If you have a small child that will be using this you may want to consider this since you will be the one taking all of the stickers off the book.

Great stickers! Very realistic looking. Bought the stickers for an insect project for homeschool. They were supposed to collect bugs and display them but we live up north where there aren't really any bugs to collect during most of the school year. I believe these stickers are going to be a great alternative!

These ARE NOT reusable. They're just regular stickers. We love them as regular stickers and have bought more after knowing they're not reusable... But they shouldn't be described as reusable because, they are not.

I ordered 3 of these books thinking I was going to get all photographs and that most of the 400 stickers would be different. I was very wrong. Each page has a big beautiful sticker of some subject, let's say a butterfly, and then on the page there are identical stickers of varying sizes, plus lame non-photo shapes, a butterfly silhouette in different shades of a particular color (purple for example). Based on the description, I was hoping for lots of variety and thought I was going to get 400 unique photos. First of all, there are more like 100 different photos, Second of all, Not all the stickers are photos! Some are just colorful silhouettes!! I believe they are including colorful shapes (non-photographs) in their total of 400.My plan was to use them as reference for coloring/scrapbooking, so i was hoping for maximum variety and all photos. These books aren't useful for that purpose.All that said, they appear to be really good quality.

Perfect for our pre-school co-op. The stickers came off easily (with some help for 3-year old hands) and they were of good quality. The amount of stickers and the variety were the best. One of the girls in the co-op does NOT like creepy crawlies, but she was still able to find stickers in here that helped her when making her insect craft. From an artistic standpoint, they also look like the real creatures--no need to dumb it down for the little kids!

Love these stickers.... My kitchen is Bug theme and I needed these to finish off the canisters and assorted appliances. I'm a big kid and I'm guessing a little kid would love these too!! The only thing I would have liked more is not so many butterflies. They are too girly for the look I went for, but I'll give those to a friend's daughter.

Lots of repeats, but the stickers are nice.

Grade 1-3?An adaptation of the play retold in rhyming couplets. The greatest strength of the presentation is in the contributions of Burdett's elementary-age students. The obviously neatened-up drawings of the characters in various scenes are done in brightly colored markers on white backgrounds and retain many stylistic traits unique to young creators. So, too, do the diary entries of the characters, letters between them, and other documents supplied by the youngsters and reproduced (complete with their creative spelling) on most pages. The charm of this precocious output will appeal more to adults than to children. The verse (the actual story of the play) does manage to scan throughout without noticeable forcing, but is rather heavy-handed. The most graceful phrases are the few that are direct quotes from the play. Unfortunately, nothing in this book distinguishes Burdett's words from the Bard's. This book is one of the end results of an extensive learning project that includes a performance by the children. Such an excellent teaching tool. My ten year old boys are all excited about Shakespeare now, and loved the production of MND we saw after reading this because they were so well prepared. Highly recommend.

This book is written in rhyme and illustrated with children's drawings. It also contains letters, lists, and other kinds of writing (for example diary entries) written by children in the character's voices. The rhyme, written by Ms. Burdett, brilliantly explains and clarifies the complicated plot lines of the play and is evocative of Shakespeare's language. The writings by the children make the feelings and thoughts of the character's even more accessible to children. They also model how children can use writing themselves, if they are so inclined, to deepen their comprehension of a piece. As a Reading Specialist and writing teacher, I think this book is extremely valuable as an introduction to "A Midsummer Night's Dream." My granddaughter, who is 8, is currently enrolled in Shakespeare camp and is performing a little scene from this play. She and I have had great discussions and laughs as I read the book aloud to her. This is just one of several books which summarize Shakespeare's plays I am using to familiarize her with the Bard. It is a great beginning for this study and could also stand alone. We loved it.

Bought this for my nine year old granddaughter so she would understand the play, a Midsummer's Night Dream, we took her to at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. It was a great gift!

Good book for my grandchild

These are an excellent series that we use in the elementary classroom. They were an excellent purchase.

My class just loves these books. They make Shakespeare more accessible to them

I bought this so that my 8 year old grand daughter would be prepared to see the play. She enjoyed the book immensely and identified with the children writers and artists whose work illustrates the book. Although a second grader she was able also to recognize the "original" spelling of the children, including learning that the Canadians spell honour with a "u". We've now watched the film of the play and will see the play next week. I'm looking forward to that.

My older daughter (20), who loves Shakespeare, and my younger one (10), who had never read Shakespeare before, read this together out loud and had a ball. They both loved it and want to read more.I thought it was a good introduction to the play and very cleverly written and illustrated.

I haven't been in Real Estate very long, and I was just about to quit all together. That was until I picked up this book. One thing I was really missing was a mentor who was willing to share their secrets. Even in the office I was told to buy more leads, call more people, etc. But none of that helped because I didn't know how to do these things. For starters, I am not buying leads! I am so glad Tim and Julie are fighting that fight as well! I don't want to pay others to do the work, I want to learn to do it on my own. Maybe later I can outsource some things to grow, but I am not going to start this business riding the success of others or their scams! Do yourself a favor, listen to Tim and Julies podcast and buy this book in every format you can! The material will come in handy as you read it and as you refer back to it. Thank you both... I am only on Chapter 5, I has taken me awhile to digest all that was said. Beginning with Chapter 1, it has really given me some clear directive on the Mindset necessary for a real estate agent. That chapter helped me to put things in perspective and sort through some mindset, mind blocks, I was having as an agent, thereby limiting my success. Chapter 2 helped me to realize I was on the right track. The next two Chapters have helped me with some step by step practical approaches to my craft, including time management. I have always been good at time management but with real estate being such an on demand business, it is hard to stay focused and this really helps. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the book.

There is no other book like it! Anyone who is looking for tools to succeed should read this! I have read many real estate books and I always walk away feeling overwhelmed with so much information and no action plan. NOT with Harris Rules! I'm able to put it down and immediately implement! I've been carrying this book with me and referencing it. What an incredible resource. Tim and Julie layout what needs to be done in order to create success in real estate, but it is applicable to any business. It is 100 percent a NO-BS book filled with honesty and action plans. its okay. i felt it was too basic. but worth it as a beginner

Great questions and the answers are very clear, but it is essentially just a book with a bunch of questions and the sections are not very long.

excellent source to prepare for recertification exam.

Overall, I think this is a good book for someone wanting a quick review. The difficulty of the questions varies but I feel it's a generally a good mix: some obvious ones, some that you can narrow down to two choices pretty easily but in the end you'll just have to guess, etc. That was pretty reflective of what I saw in the PANCE two years ago (which, by the way, was easier than I thought it would be if that helps any of you aspiring PA's). The explanations for the questions were very thorough, although there were just a few times when the wording of the explanation was not as clear as I'd like it to be. However, since this is just a question/answer review guide and not an outline review guide, I was okay with pulling another source to further explain what I had difficulty understanding.The pictures of the derm section alone are much more helpful than other review books; I will say that there were a few questions in that section involving lesions that I've never heard of and/or don't think would show up in the exam (admittedly though, derm is not a favorite subject of mine and not my strongest area clinically). I was also appreciative of the EKG, Pharmacology, Radiology and Laboratory Medicine sections, which you don't find in other review books. I often found the questions in these sections were things I should know or things I knew at one point and have since forgotten, and was thankful to be reminded of the correct answers. The General Practice section was pretty fun for me to take since I work at a Family Practice clinic and was very reflective of my everyday life.

This book is a very helpful compliment to either your own study material or a review guide that contains outlines. It can be used as you are beginning the review process to see what topics you feel fairly comfortable with/identify topics to which you need to devote some time, or towards the end of your review process to see how you're doing and what you still need help with. The questions have a good variety, ranging from obvious to quite challenging. In general, the explanations were thorough, although not sufficient as your ONLY review source. The overall breadth of the topics is unmatched. I own several other review books and don't feel it was a waste to invest in one more. This book covers all the topics found in my other review books, plus Lab Medicine, Physical Diagnosis, Radiology, and an EKG rhythm review. In addition, the impressive amounts of color pictures are not found in other books.As far as the test writing "sins" stated in another review, I have never written a test and did not easily notice these errors. I did notice the occasional typo/mistake in the question or the explanation, but did not find it to be distracting from the overall content of the book.Personally, in PA school I learned just as much from getting a question wrong on a test as reading about something in a book, so I really value a book like this with hundreds of questions that I can use as practice.

I agree with the above assessment, but want to add that the CD rom that came with the book fails to work at all. It did install some sort of equation program, but I don't need that. I need PANCE questions. Contacting tech support lead to an email on how to install software. Wow, like that is the problem. I don't even know if it is worth the deal at $43 to have poor questions and an empty cd rom.

Last week I went through this entire volume in preparation for my own upcoming recertification exam and found myself more frustrated and annoyed than assisted with my review process.While the book is extremely impressive in both scope and use of illustrations, it is more than disappointing in the quality of the questions. Nearly every test-writing "sin" is included many times over: non-focused stems, negative stems, non-parallel distractors, inclusion of information that is not pertinent in some questions, lack of sufficient detail in others.In addition, in some chapters questions on the same topic (and their answers/explanations) contradict one another. Some questions have two possible right answers. The grammar in the explanations is erratic.Compared with other review books this one shines in scope and illustrations, as mentioned above. As a useful review tool and preparation for test-taking, it is a "poor relation."The prompt release of a revised edition re-edited by an expert in test-writing (there are many in the PA world) and reviewed by a competent proof-reader would make this much more useful. It is potentially one of the best of the available review books.

The book is great for review of the PANRE. I used it and found it be to very helpful.I did NOT have any trouble with the CD. I wish that the CD exam would have explanations on the questions but I still highly recommend this book!
