I am a huge fan of the Billionaire Banker Series. Seduce me originally threw me for a loop because it is the first time in this series that doesn't feature Lana and Blake as the lead characters. I must be honest that when I first started this book that I was annoyed and frustrated by having Julie Sugar take center stage. She had only been a very miniscule character in the series and we hardly knew her. As if this wasn't a big enough drawback she came across as mean, petty, cruel, unkind, dishonest, a horrible person and if possible a worse friend. To be honest I wondered If I would be able to commit to finishing this book and at the start only my love for Lana and Blake and my interest in their story kept me going. Now, I will say that after all was said and done the character grew on me and by the end she had grown a lot and I actually could care about her. Vann was a great character and at the start much to good for Julie. In the end I think they made a good couple and was happy with their story. A very steamy romance.
I have mixed emotions about this book. I was enthralled with books 1 and 2. By the end of book 2, I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. I checked every week to see if the next book had been released. Then I read book 3, and I was thoroughly disappointed. I thought book 3 was a waste of time, and I still do. However, I was excited for book 4-- a chance at redemption, and then it is some new girl's POV!!!!! What the heck??? She's completely whacked! And what about El and Lana's vow to fight the darkness, and this grand love affair between Lana and Blake? I was 50% into the book, and I was ready to ask for a refund and give a scathing review of how the author had completely lost focus and lost me in the process.I kept trudging through because I try not to abandon a book, and by 58% I was captivated!! I had to keep reading. I had to find out what happened. In the end, I fell madly in love with the story line. I fell in love with Vann and Julie, and I am so glad I kept reading!PLEASE, Georgia Le Carre, give us a good ending!!!! Help us see all of these things be wrapped up. Help us have a sense of closure with your next book. There is too much left undone. Go back to Lana and Blake and finish their story, but keep us updated on Vann and Julie.
It didn't grab me like others, and at times I struggled to reach the end of the book, but that is not to say it isn't a good story. It is. I just go a little blank when I get an overload of information, and I feel the book gets off track too many times. I do however Love the Lana and Blake characters, I just am unsure how I feel about their story. Perhaps that is what the writer is aiming for?
This one was a tough read for me. I really didn’t like Sugar, I mean I just couldn’t find one redeeming quality. But, thank god i held in there till the end. God, the end made it all worth it. I could entirely see and understand her. Hell she felt like a part of me. And Vann, so yummy!! Love this family so much
I just finished reading Seduce Me and although it was a good read i didn't understand the whole "Julie" thing. She was never mentioned once in books 1-3 and i felt that the author just threw together this whole storyline. it also did not reveal what happened to Jack at the end.I would recommend it otherwise.
Ms. Le Carre is a talented storyteller. So was Margaret Mitchell when she wrote Gone With The Wind. The scene with Julie and Jack in the secluded room, being overheard by Vann? Oh, Ashley!Really loved Julie's character. She was well-developed, fleshed out, creepy and sympathetic. Vann, too, had that edge of creepiness that worked for him. And the depth of the depraved in this whole storyline, I'll say it again. Creepy. The love scenes are growing weary for me..."meat" as a term for a male's penis doesn't appeal to any of my romantic levels. And the flowery descriptors surrounding their sex is beginning to annoy me, too.Couple that with blatant electronic glitches and grammatical errors all over the place, and I'm growing tired of being jarred from the story. HIRE AN EDITOR!!! Heck, I'll do it for free!I hate to admit it, bit if her next book is like these last 4, I'll be...(gotta say it)...gone with the wind.
What a journey for Julie!! At the beginning I didn’t like her, but eventually she change the way of seeing things. Her story is one of learning to love yourself and forget judgments and society standards!!! Vann was a beautiful soul. I love him and knew who he was right away!! Can wait for more!!!
This book was by far one of the best I have read. It could have been fine as a stand alone, but it was much more. I loved the way Ms. LeCarre introduced Quinn in her other books and brought him to "life" in this one. I usually don't reread too many books I have previously purchased, but this one will definitely be on my list. Thank you Ms. LeCarre for being a wonderful artist.
