After reading "The Wild Duck", "Peer Gynt" and "A Doll's House", I understand better why Ibsen is Norway's pride and joy in terms of cultural contribution to the world's play or literature. His plays written nearly 150 years ago caputred the social ethos then and hence give readers an excellent snapshot of life back then. In "The Wild Duck" and "A Doll's House", we witness the clearly defined roles of women as submissive home makers. Although we see today, the very different situtation of emancipated women living lives independent of men, some issues such as trust, love and honesty being essential for relationships to work continue to be relevant today as they were in Ibsen's plays.

This book is awesome. I love the writing before you read they plays. It gives you a background for the work and whah was going on in Ibsen's life while he was writing the piece. Having all of his works in one place on my kindle is just so great. By having all of them available, I read more of his work than I ever would have otherwise, since I didn't know they even existed. Highly recommended. Great format. Easy to go from play to play. Love it.

This version is annotated by Richard Beeman, a genuine, non-ideological constitutional scholar. It is NOT the right wing/Skousen/LDS version described in many of the critical comments. For some reason, Amazon has applied the same set of comments to multiple versions of the Constitution, which makes it virtually impossible to determine which ones are worth buying - and reading.This version is well worth buying and reading, and reading again. In addition to the text of the original documents, it offers excellent historical context including a discussion of how the various articles and amendments have been interpreted by courts (not ideologues) through the years. It's a very valuable resource.UPDATE: In a comment to this review, RedRocks explains that if you try to order the paperback version of this Penguin guide, you'll actually get the Skousen/LDS version instead. (My brother confirmed this.) Kindle orders get the correct Penguin version. Amazon needs to correct this - RedRocks has complained about it before but Amazon has done nothing.

This reprint of the US Constitution is very well edited and annotated. The full original text is reproduced as written. There are no editorial comments or discussions. Original text that has been amended is enclosed in brackets, with a footnote to reference the amendment. The preamble to the Bill of Rights and the full text of all 27 amendments are included. The full text of the Declaration of Independence is included. The dimensions (3.25" x 6.5") make this a true "pocket guide". I recommend buying multiple copies of this pamphlet to give to family and friends, as I have done. Every American should be intimately familiar with these documents.Apparently, Amazon lumps together the reviews written for various print versions of the US Constitution. All print versions are not equal and many of the Amazon reviews do not apply to the print version I reviewed. The print version I reviewed has a painting of George Washington, quill pen in hand, on the front cover. It is copyrighted by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. Accept no substitutes.

This booklet (blue, with an eagle on the front, 6" x 9", 32 pages, with the author of "Founding Fathers"), claims to include "the US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights" - but it does NOT include the Bill of Rights!The Bill of Rights adds the extremely important amendments that protect freedom of religion, speech, gun rights, etc.. I was stunned when I realized it was missing. Very disappointing!

Having just quickly perused all 44 pages of this USA e-book, just want to point out that this version of The United States Constitution is not annotated. It does have an excellent live index, very useful.

Amazon has the unfortunate practice of lumping reviews for several different editions together. The kindle edition I got did not have the "disclaimer" that several people objected to (I'm a liberal, but that would have annoyed me too.) It just started out with the table of contents and the the familiar Preamble.

Every American should own (and Read) this book. It was written for Us! Very highly recommend.

Large font easy to read. No Skousen nut case seditionist commentary. Just as it was written by the founders.

I love Saint Bernadette since she is my patron saint but did not appreciate receiving a book that had a large yellow stain over the cover and most of the pages. There was a bright yellow spill on it, the color of mustard. It did wreck my experience of reading it and I would not even dare selling it or giving it away. Shame on the seller!

I have now read 28 books in the Encounter the Saints Series from Pauline Books and Media. I started reading them myself, because they were books I stumbled upon about saints I wanted to know more about. Now, my children and I are reading the whole series. Of the 28 book I have read the vast majority have been reread with one of more child. My Oldest and I read these books together, alternating pages. And I read them with the younger two. Though the middle child will now often read alternating pages also. My first time reading this book was with my son, our middle child, for his reading challenge time. It has really left an impact upon him.This book was a surprise on many levels. I doubt you could find a Catholic who is not familiar with the name of Our lady of Lourdes. In fact, I doubt you could find someone who was raised in the western world who does not know at least the name. But this is the incredible story of God choosing a poor small girl to bring a message though Mary, first to a small town and then to the whole world. I had recently read another book on Saint Bernadette Soubirous, but was still taken by surprised by her humility, and servants heart. They have a great deal of detail and my son has spend a lot of time examining the pictures.My son was drawn to this book in a way that he has not been drawn to many others. Currently he is wearing a back brace and preparing for spinal surgery within the next year. As soon as we finished the book, he wanted to know if we could go to Lourdes and he could bathe in the spring. It was hard to explain to him that a trip there is out of the picture, but we can pray and trust God. And that is one of the big lessons we both took from this book, pray and trust.This book does an amazing job of portraying the life of this saint in a way that can be enjoyed by any reader. Readers of all ages. The book and series are written for children but honestly anyone can read these books and have their faith encourages and challenged by the saint presented in that volume. This series is among our favorite Catholic books to read, and from 50 years of age through to 7 we love these books. Currently there are only 10 titles we have not read in the series, but we have reread some books up to four times now. So even once we finish them all we can go back and reread them again and again.This book is an amazing book in a wonderful series as a family we give them our highest recommendations.

This s a spooky book, in part as there are few humans to be seen among these ruins Most of the excellent color photos are of fortifications (mostly in Europe) large and small, many of them not well known here. For example, what appear to be Maginot Line ouvrage are actually contemporary forts built much farther east. The amount of effort that went into these facilities (let alone valuable steel and cement) is mind boggling, especially as few of them really held off an enemy for long. The row of tank traps on the cover photo is one partial exception. The book is we arranged and captioned--and thus hard to put down.
